Three-Peat for BEW

For the third year in a row, we are proud to announce our inclusion on the Financial Times Top 300 ranking of the country’s top independent RIA (Registered Investment Advisor) firms. Click here to see the Times’ announcement and to learn more about the FT’s methodology to select firms.

There are thousands of RIAs. We’re thrilled to be on such a select list. As we just saw with the Golden State Warriors, the third one is the hardest.

This is the sixth annual FT 300 list. RIAs applied for consideration and did not pay a fee for inclusion. The list is based on data gathered from firms, regulatory disclosures, and the FT’s research. Firms were evaluated on six factors:

  1. Assets Under Management (AUM) - signals experience managing money and client trust

  2. AUM growth rate - can be a proxy for performance, as well as for asset retention and the ability to generate new business

  3. Years in Existence - indicates reliability and experience of managing assets through different market environments

  4. Advanced Industry Credentials of the firm’s advisers - shows the firm’s staff has industry knowledge and signals a professional commitment to investment skills

  5. Online Accessibility - demonstrates a desire to provide easy access and transparent contact information

  6. Compliance Records - provides evidence of past client disputes - a strong of complaints can signal potential problems, for example

Thank you again to the Financial Times. Our focus is on our clients. Outside recognition is a happy bonus.
